Day 5 In Brief

Nice to Lake Garda. With a minimum 6 hrs driving ahead of us some of us decided to extend our day by a further 3 hours by driving the Col de Turini - for all you WRC fans it makes sense. So, 9 hrs after leaving Nice we all generally arrive by the shores of Lake Garda. I'm presently writing this from our hotel which overlooks the Lake and from which we where subjected to a superb sunset. So, who's done what?
Andy M & Katherine, Phil W & Jon, Phil L & Mike and Andy G & Ste all did the Col de Turini only Ste & Andy G failed to find it?!
Claire & Jayne went for the 6 hr drive with a minor route change to take in the west side of the lake and approach from the north. Phil L & Mike went for a similar approach to the hotel, only they didn't mean to, left, right, well it's all the same to Phil. Andy & Katherine after trying to set the BMW alight on the Col travelled via San Remo for pleasent detour. Navigation aside, we all made with daylight to spare. Roll on Day 6 - it's a day off...
